DELL
2U rack server with dual 10-core Xeon processors, 16GB DDR4 memory, two 2TB SAS drives and H730 RAID controller
HDD 2 x 2TB SAS
The Dell PowerEdge R530 mounts in a standard rack and delivers two ten-core Intel Xeon E5-2650 v3 processors running at 2.3 GHz with 40 virtual cores through hyper-threading. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory is installed across twelve DIMM slots, leaving room to expand toward the processor-supported maximum of 384 GB. Redundant 750 W hot-swap power supplies keep the platform running during a module failure.
Eight 3.5-inch bays accept SAS or SATA drives and the front-access design lets you swap media without tools or downtime. The integrated Perc H730 controller with 1 GB cache connects at 12 Gbps and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for flexible redundancy and capacity planning. Two 2 TB 7.2 K SAS drives ship installed and a DVD-ROM drive handles legacy media tasks.
Five PCIe slots provide three 3.0 lanes and two 2.0 lanes for additional network, storage or accelerator cards. Remote administration relies on iDRAC8 Express with optional Enterprise upgrade and vFlash media, while the Matrox G200eR2 video output is limited to basic console access. The four-port 1 GbE daughter card handles baseline networking without consuming a PCIe slot.
