DELL
A 2U rack server with a six-core Xeon at 1.6GHz, 48GB DDR4, two 300GB 15K SAS drives and a H730 RAID controller supporting up to 80TB across eight hot-plug bays
HDD 2 x 300GB 15K
The Dell PowerEdge R530 fits in a standard 2U rack slot and ships with a single Xeon E5-2603 V3 six-core processor running at 1.6GHz. Forty-eight gigabytes of DDR4 memory are installed across the 12 DIMM slots, reaching the 48GB ceiling for this configuration. Two 300GB 15K SAS drives and a PERC H730 RAID controller provide the storage foundation.
Dual 750W hot-swap power supplies deliver redundancy without extra cabling. Eight 3.5-inch hot-plug bays accept SAS or SATA drives, while the H730 controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across them. Five PCIe slots — three at 3.0 and two at 2.0 — remain open for additional network or accelerator cards. A four-port 1GbE daughter card handles baseline connectivity.
The package adds a DVD-ROM drive, a power cable and iDRAC8 Express with Lifecycle Controller for remote firmware updates and hardware monitoring. Matrox G200eR2 graphics supply basic console output. No operating system is included, so the buyer must supply licences and installation media. Rail kit, bezel, keyboard, mouse and video cable are not part of this shipment.

Other versions of this model
Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
The server ships with one six-core Xeon E5-2603 V3 running at 1.6GHz and supports a second socket, so sustained compute-heavy workloads will hit the CPU limit before the 48GB DDR4 or the H730 RAID array saturate.
Dual 750W hot-swap power supplies and eight 3.5-inch drive bays mean fan speeds ramp up under continuous load; expect noticeable airflow noise and warm exhaust in a typical rack aisle.
The unit includes power cables only; you must provide a rack rail kit, a supported OS licence, and any additional SAS drives or a second processor to fill the empty socket.
