Dual Xeon 12-core 2U server

The Dell PowerEdge R540 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Gold 5118 processors, each running at 2.3 GHz with 12 cores and a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 32 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across four modules and a PERC H730P storage controller with 2 GB cache. Eight 8 TB 7.2K SAS drives provide 64 TB of raw capacity in the 3.5-inch bays. The system includes iDRAC9 Enterprise for remote management, redundant 750 W platinum power supplies, rails and a front bezel.

Pre-installation checks
