2U rack server with dual Gold 6126 CPUs

The Dell EMC PowerEdge R740 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Gold 6126 processors, each providing 12 cores at 2.6GHz. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory installed as two 16GB modules running at 2666 MT/s. Four 480GB SATA SSDs are pre-configured behind an H730P RAID controller. Redundant 1100W power supplies

Dual 1100W redundant power supplies maintain operation if one unit fails, while the integrated iDRAC9 Enterprise controller enables out-of-band monitoring and control over the network. The Intel X550 network daughter card provides two 10Gb RJ45 and two 1Gb RJ45 ports for flexible connectivity. With no optical drive fitted, internal airflow is directed toward the CPU and drive bays for efficient cooling under load.

Eight 2.5-inch bays and up to eight PCIe Gen 3 slots

The chassis supports a maximum of eight 2.5-inch drives, leaving four bays free for future expansion beyond the four installed SSDs. Up to eight PCIe Gen 3 slots allow the addition of GPUs, additional NICs or storage controllers as workloads evolve. Included rails, bezel and power cords simplify rack installation.
