The Dell PowerEdge R740xd is a 2U rack server built around twelve 3.5-inch drive bays and dual Intel Xeon Silver 4116 processors. Each CPU provides twelve cores at 2.1 GHz with a 3.0 GHz turbo frequency. Sixty-four gigabytes of DDR4 registered ECC memory are installed across four slots, and the system supports up to 3 TB across twenty-four slots.
