Dual Xeon Gold 6330 compute platform

This 2U rack server ships with two Intel Xeon Gold 6330 processors, each running at 2.0 GHz with 28 cores and a 3.1 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 1 TB of DDR4 2933 MHz registered ECC memory across 32 DIMM slots, supporting up to 2 TB total capacity. It targets organisations running databases, virtualisation clusters or analytics workloads that demand high core counts and large memory footprints.

Hot-swap bays and redundant power

Twelve front-accessible 3.5-inch trays accept SAS or SATA drives and connect to a Dell PERC H755 RAID controller with 8 GB non-volatile cache and battery backup, supporting RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Dual 1400 W platinum power supplies provide full redundancy with hot-swap replacement. A Broadcom 57412 dual-port 10 GbE SFP+ OCP 3.0 card handles network connectivity, while iDRAC 9 Enterprise enables remote management. Rails and a front bezel are included for rack installation.

PCIe Gen 4 bandwidth ceiling

The platform uses PCIe Gen 4 slots, doubling the per-lane bandwidth of the previous generation, which limits the peak throughput of add-in cards such as GPUs, additional NICs or NVMe adapters to the Gen 4 specification. Memory speed is capped at 3200 MT/s despite the installed modules running at 2933 MHz, so future upgrades cannot exceed that ceiling. The LGA 4189 socket restricts processor choices to compatible 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable parts, preventing use of newer or older CPU families.
