PowerEdge R750 2U dual-Xeon server

The Dell PowerEdge R750 is a 2U rack server fitted with two Intel Xeon Gold 6330 processors, each running at 2.0 GHz with 28 cores. It ships with 1 TB of DDR4 2933 MHz registered ECC memory across 32 DIMM slots. The system includes a PERC H755 RAID controller with 8 GB NV cache, a quad-port 1 GbE OCP 3.0 network card, iDRAC 9 Enterprise, and dual 1400 W platinum power supplies. Rails and a front bezel are included.

Before ordering verify your rack and power

Confirm the rack can accept a 2U chassis and that the facility provides circuits suitable for dual 1400 W platinum power supplies. The server uses an LGA 4189 socket and supports a maximum of two processors. Memory expansion is limited to DDR4 registered ECC modules up to a 2 TB ceiling. Storage bays accept 3.5" SAS or SATA drives only; 2.5" and NVMe form factors are not supported in the supplied trays.

Sustained-load behaviour

Under continuous load the dual 28-core CPUs maintain their 2.0 GHz base frequency while the platinum power supplies share the thermal load. The PERC H755 controller’s 8 GB NV cache and battery protect write performance during extended RAID 5, 6, 10, 50 or 60 rebuilds. iDRAC 9 Enterprise provides persistent remote monitoring of temperatures, fan speeds and power draw without requiring the host OS to be responsive. The quad-port 1 GbE adapter distributes steady network streams across four physical links.
