The Dell PowerEdge R760 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Gold 6430 processors running at 2.1 GHz with 3.4 GHz turbo and 32 cores each. It ships with 64 GB of DDR5-4800 ECC registered memory across four modules. The system supports up to 8 TB of memory across 32 slots. H965i RAID controller and 16-bay NVMe storage

The bundled PERC H965i front RAID controller provides 8 GB of NV cache and supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with NVMe drives. Sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays and eight included drive trays allow mixed SAS, SATA, SSD and NVMe configurations. Verify rack space and DDR5 memory planning

Confirm your rack can accommodate a 2U chassis with front drive access and that power distribution supports dual 1400 W supplies. The system uses DDR5 ECC registered DIMMs only; earlier DDR generations are not compatible. Maximum memory capacity is 8 TB across 32 slots, so plan future upgrades accordingly. No drives are included, so source SAS, SATA or NVMe media separately. Buyers needing GPU acceleration or larger 3.5-inch drive bays should consider a different platform.
