The Dell PowerEdge R930 is a 4U rack server populated with four Intel Xeon E7-8891 v4 processors, each running at 2.80 GHz with ten cores. It ships with 768 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across 48 DIMM slots and a PERC H730P RAID controller managing twenty-four 1.92 TB SATA SSDs. The platform targets enterprises that need maximum core count and memory capacity in a single chassis for in-memory databases, virtualisation or analytics.

Sustained multi-thread throughput

With all four sockets active the system presents forty physical cores and eighty threads, allowing parallel workloads to scale without crossing node boundaries. The 12 TB maximum memory ceiling and ninety-six DIMM slots provide headroom for growing data sets, while the H730P controller supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 to maintain consistent I/O patterns under continuous read and write pressure.
