This tower server targets small offices and remote branches that need a single system for collaboration, mail, file and web workloads. It ships with two Xeon E5-2695 v4 processors delivering 18 cores at 2.1 GHz with 3.3 GHz turbo. The 64 GB DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory fills four of twelve slots, leaving room to grow toward the 384 GB maximum. No drives are included; the eight 3.5 inch trays accept SATA or SAS media.

Installation and common issues

The chassis uses tool-less drive trays and redundant hot-swap 750 W platinum power supplies, so adding storage or swapping a supply does not require downtime. The PERC H730 1 GB controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. Buyers should note that front bezel and ready rails are not included, and plastic feet are absent from the package. Remote setup relies on iDRAC 8 Express; the dual-port 1 GbE LOM provides basic connectivity out of the box.

Storage capacity limit

Eight 3.5 inch bays and the H730 controller set the physical and logical ceiling for internal storage. Each bay takes one SATA or SAS drive, so the total raw capacity depends entirely on the drives you populate. The controller handles large arrays across all supported RAID levels, but the bay count cannot be expanded within this chassis.
