Dual Xeon E5-2650 v4 5U server

This Dell PowerEdge T430 ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2650 v4 processors running at 2.2GHz with a 2.9GHz turbo. The 24 total cores and 256GB of DDR4-2400 ECC memory suit virtualization, database and business-application workloads. Eight 2.5-inch drive trays and a PERC H730P RAID controller are installed. Dual 750W platinum power supplies provide redundancy.

Check memory slots and drive bay count

The system has 12 DIMM slots and supports up to 384GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. Verify that your existing DDR4-2400 modules match the registered ECC requirement before adding capacity. Sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays are available but only eight trays are included; order additional trays if you plan to populate more bays. The front bezel and ready rails are not supplied.

Redundant power and remote management

Hot-swap 750W platinum power supplies allow replacement without downtime. The integrated iDRAC 8 Express controller gives out-of-band remote access for monitoring and firmware updates. Dual onboard Gigabit Ethernet ports handle management and production traffic. The H730P controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 with a 2GB cache and battery backup.
