The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U tower server that supports dual Intel Xeon E5-2650 v4 processors, each running at 2.2GHz with a 2.9GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 128GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across twelve slots and includes a PERC H330 storage controller for SAS and SATA drives. The chassis provides sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays and dual 750W platinum power supplies for redundancy.

Storage interface and expansion limits

The PERC H330 controller operates at 12Gb/s and manages SAS, SATA and SSD media installed in the 2.5-inch trays. Only four drive trays are included, so the remaining twelve bays require additional trays to reach the full sixteen-bay capacity. PCI Express slots are available for extra RAID, networking or accelerator cards, but the integrated dual-port Gigabit Ethernet adapter is the only network interface supplied.

Compatibility checks before ordering

Verify that your rack or floor space accommodates a 5U form factor and that the optional rack conversion kit is sourced separately if rack mounting is intended. The server ships without a front bezel or ready rails, so plan for those accessories if required. Memory upgrades use DDR4 ECC registered DIMMs only, with a maximum capacity of 384GB across the twelve slots.
