Dual-socket Xeon server for virtualization workloads

The PowerEdge T430 is a 5U tower server that ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors, each running at 2.0GHz with a 3.2GHz turbo frequency and fourteen cores. It arrives with 64GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory installed across four slots and includes the PERC H730P 2GB storage controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. This configuration targets organisations deploying VMware ESXi, Hyper-V or Proxmox VE clusters, database hosts or private-cloud infrastructure that need immediate compute capacity and room for storage expansion.

Sixteen hot-swap 2.5-inch drive bays

The chassis provides sixteen front-accessible 2.5-inch trays for SAS, SATA or SSD drives, all managed by the hardware RAID controller with its 2GB cache and battery backup. No drives are installed, so buyers must supply their own media to match capacity and endurance requirements. The controller’s pass-through mode also allows direct disk presentation to software-defined storage layers such as CEPH or ZFS.

Redundant 750W platinum power supplies

Dual hot-plug 750 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies deliver redundant power for sustained operation under full CPU and storage load. Integrated iDRAC 8 Express provides out-of-band remote management, firmware updates and hardware monitoring without requiring an operating system. The server supports up to 384GB of DDR4 across twelve DIMM slots for future memory growth. Front bezel and rack rails are not included.
