This new Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack server fitted with two Intel Xeon E5-2690 v4 processors, each running at 2.6 GHz with a 3.5 GHz turbo and 14 cores. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory across two modules and a PERC H330 storage controller driving four 1.92 TB SATA solid-state drives. Dual 750 W platinum power supplies provide redundant hot-swap power.

The chassis offers sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays and supports SAS, SATA and SSD media, making it a good fit for VMware ESXi, Hyper-V or Proxmox VE clusters that rely on local storage. Organisations that need more than 384 GB of RAM or more than two physical CPUs will not be able to expand this platform further. Buyers who require a tower form factor without rack rails or a front bezel should note those items are not included.
