This new Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Gold 5120 processors, each running at 2.2 GHz with 3.2 GHz turbo across 14 cores. The system ships with 16 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory installed across two modules, leaving 14 additional slots available for expansion up to 1 TB total capacity. It targets organisations that need multi-threaded performance for virtualisation, database hosting or business-critical workloads in a tower or rack form factor.

PERC H330 storage controller and trays

The included Dell PERC H330 controller provides 12 Gb/s SAS and SATA connectivity for the eight supplied 2.5-inch hot-swap drive trays, enabling RAID configurations without a separate card purchase. Dual integrated Gigabit Ethernet ports and iDRAC 9 Express give immediate out-of-band management and network connectivity. Two redundant 750 W platinum power supplies are fitted, supporting hot-swap replacement for continuous uptime. Note that front bezel and ready rails are not included with this unit.
