The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U rack server built for virtualization, database hosting and software-defined storage. Two Intel Xeon Silver 4210 processors provide twenty cores at 2.2 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency. One hundred twenty-eight gigabytes of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory fill four of the sixteen available slots. The PERC HBA330 controller manages four 1.92 TB SATA SSDs across the sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap bays.

Redundant 750 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies share the load and can be replaced without shutdown. The 5U chassis directs airflow across the dual processors and memory banks to maintain stable temperatures during typical workloads. Integrated dual-port gigabit Ethernet and iDRAC 9 Express remote management operate independently of the main system power. Fan speeds adjust to thermal demand, keeping acoustic output low in office or rack environments.

Sustained multi-threaded throughput for databases

Under continuous load the two ten-core Xeons maintain turbo frequencies within the thermal envelope of the 5U form factor. ECC memory corrects single-bit errors without interrupting long-running database transactions or virtual-machine migrations. The HBA330 presents the SATA SSDs with consistent latency for write-heavy logging or backup jobs.
