Enterprise 5U Server for Virtualisation and Storage

The Dell PowerEdge T440 is a 5U tower server that can be converted for rack mounting. It ships with two Intel Xeon Silver 4210 processors, each running at 2.2 GHz with a 3.2 GHz turbo and ten cores. The system includes 16 GB of DDR4-2400 ECC registered memory across sixteen slots, supporting up to 1 TB total capacity. It targets organisations running VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Proxmox VE, database workloads, file services or software-defined storage.

Sixteen Hot-Swap Bays and PCIe Expansion

Sixteen 2.5-inch hot-swap drive bays accept SAS, SATA and SSD media, while the installed Dell PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and pass-through modes. Four 1.92 TB SATA solid-state drives are included. PCI Express slots provide room for additional RAID, networking, GPU or other acceleration cards. Dual integrated Gigabit Ethernet ports and iDRAC 9 Express handle network connectivity and remote management respectively.

Redundant 750 W Platinum Power Supplies

Two hot-plug 750 W platinum-efficiency power supplies deliver redundant power for continuous operation. The 5U chassis provides airflow across the dual processors, memory and storage subsystem under typical enterprise loads. iDRAC 9 Express enables remote thermal monitoring and power management without requiring physical access to the server.
