GIGABYTE
Micro-ATX Intel B85 board for LGA 1150 CPUs with DDR3 1600/1333, SATA 6Gb/s and HDMI output
This GIGABYTE GA-B85M-DS3H rev. 3.0 board uses the Intel B85 chipset on a Micro ATX form factor. It accepts 4th Generation Intel Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium and Celeron processors in the LGA1150 socket. The platform supports DDR3 memory at 1600 and 1333 speeds in non-ECC configuration. It provides a compact foundation for office or home systems.
Moving from an LGA1155 system brings the newer 4th Generation Intel Core architecture and the B85 chipset. The jump is worthwhile when you need native HDMI output with HD4600 processor graphics for 4K playback. SATA 6Gb/s and USB 3.0 connectivity are also included for faster storage and peripheral transfers compared to previous generation boards.
The B85 chipset does not support CPU overclocking, locking multiplier adjustments on K-series processors. Memory is restricted to DDR3 non-ECC modules at 1600 or 1333 speeds with no official support for higher frequencies. Expansion is limited to the Micro ATX layout, reducing the number of available PCIe and storage connections compared to full-size ATX alternatives.

This board pairs an LGA 1150 socket with the Intel B85 chipset for 4th generation Intel Core i7, i5, i3, Pentium and Celeron processors.
Install DDR3 modules rated at 1600 or 1333 MHz; the board runs them in non-ECC unbuffered mode across four DIMM slots.
The coin-cell battery keeps BIOS settings when the system is unplugged; replace it when the clock drifts or settings reset.
