The HP ProDesk 4 Mini G1i is a new mini PC built around the Intel Core Ultra 5-235T processor with 14 cores and 24 MB of cache. It ships with 64 GB of DDR5 memory and a 512 GB NVMe SSD, running Windows 11 Pro out of the box. The integrated Intel Graphics share system memory and drive up to three external displays. It targets offices and developers who need local AI inference in a 1.5-inch-tall chassis.

Build integration

The 90 W internal power supply means only a single mains cable is required, freeing desk space and eliminating an external brick. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E AX211, Bluetooth 5.3 and a wired RJ-45 port for managed networks. Video output uses one HDMI 2.1 port and two DisplayPort connectors, while a USB 3.2 Type-C port and a headphone/microphone jack handle peripherals. The bundled USB port expander adds extra Type-A connections without occupying internal slots.

Sustained workload behaviour

The 14-core, 14-thread CPU can reach 5 GHz on performance cores, but the 90 W power envelope and compact thermal solution will throttle clocks during prolonged heavy compute. The 64 GB DDR5 capacity keeps large models resident in memory, reducing swap pressure during extended inference runs. Fan noise rises under continuous load as the small chassis dissipates heat, so the system suits bursty AI tasks better than round-the-clock rendering.
