The HP ProLiant BL680c G7 is a dual-processor blade server designed for enterprise workloads that require high memory capacity and integrated 10 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. It ships with two Intel Xeon E7540 processors, each delivering six cores at 2.00 GHz with 18 MB of L3 cache. The system includes 16 GB of PC3-10600 Registered DDR3-1333 memory across 64 available DIMM slots. This blade fits HPE c7000 and c3000 enclosures and draws power from the enclosure infrastructure.

Memory Expansion and Blade Constraints

Memory can scale to 1.0 TB using the 64 DIMM slots, though the blade form factor requires a compatible HPE enclosure for power, cooling and I/O interconnects. Advanced ECC, memory mirroring, online spare and patrol scrubbing protect data integrity across the large memory footprint. The integrated Smart Array P410i RAID controller manages internal hot-plug SFF SAS, SATA and SSD drives, but no drives ship standard. Six 10GbE NC553i FlexFabric ports provide converged network and storage connectivity through the enclosure midplane.
