This HP ProLiant DL160 Gen9 is a 1U rack server built for dense compute environments. It ships with dual Intel Xeon E5-2630v3 eight-core processors running at 2.4GHz, 8GB of DDR4 memory and two 500GB 7.2K 2.5-inch SATA drives. Redundant hot-swap 550W power supplies support continuous operation.
The eight small-form-factor bays and B140i software RAID suit general-purpose and cloud workloads that run on SATA storage. Buyers needing hardware RAID acceleration, SAS connectivity or more than eight internal drives should look at a different platform. The single 8GB DIMM leaves 15 slots open for expansion up to the 1TB platform limit.
The installed B140i controller provides RAID 0, 1 and 5 exclusively for SATA drives. No hardware RAID is present, and SAS drives cannot be managed by this controller. Memory runs as DDR4 ECC registered up to 2400MT/s across 16 slots, eight per processor.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
The server ships with two Xeon E5-2630v3 2.4GHz processors, 8GB DDR4, two 500GB 7.2K 2.5" SATA drives in trays, a B140i software RAID controller and a 550W power supply. No operating system, no media drive and no additional memory or drives are included.
The board has 16 DDR4 slots and supports 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB or 64GB ECC registered modules up to 2400MT/s. Maximum installed capacity is 1TB; actual speed depends on the fitted processors.
A 550W unit powers the dual 2.4GHz Xeons, 8GB DDR4, two 500GB SATA drives and the B140i controller with headroom for extra drives or memory. It is a hot-swap redundant design so one supply can be replaced without downtime.
