The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 fits a dual-socket Xeon E5 v3 platform into a single rack unit. Two twelve-core processors running at 2.3 GHz deliver 24 physical cores and 48 threads with hyper-threading. Ninety-six gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory populate half of the twenty-four DIMM slots, leaving room for expansion. The Smart HBA H240ar controller manages eight small-form-factor drive bays with RAID levels up to 60.

Sustained multi-threaded throughput under constant

Both Xeon E5-2670 v3 CPUs maintain their base 2.3 GHz clock across all cores during prolonged compute tasks. The C610 chipset feeds each processor twelve memory channels, keeping bandwidth steady for database or virtualisation workloads. RAID 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 parity calculations run on the H240ar without saturating the 12 Gb SAS or 6 Gb SATA links. Memory operates at up to 2400 MT/s limited by the installed processor capability.

Redundant power and basic graphics keep heat

Dual 500 W hot-swap supplies share the load, so a single unit failure does not interrupt operation. The Matrox G200 controller with 16 MB video memory draws minimal power and generates negligible heat. Eight drive trays allow airflow to pass directly over storage devices. No optical drive or additional media bay is fitted, reducing internal obstructions in the 1U chassis.
