The HP ProLiant DL380 Gen9 is a 2U rackmount server fitted with a single Intel Xeon E5-2609 v3 six-core processor running at 1.9 GHz. It ships with 48 GB of DDR4 memory across 24 DIMM slots and two 600 GB 15 K SAS drives. The Smart Array P440 controller with 4 GB flash-backed write cache manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Dual 500 W hot-swap power supplies provide redundancy. No operating system is included.

Check CPU socket and memory limits before ordering

The system board uses the Intel C610 chipset and supports a second Xeon E5 v3 processor for up to 36 total cores. Memory runs at up to 2400 MT/s ECC registered; the 24 slots accept 4 GB to 64 GB DDR4 modules but maximum installed capacity is 48 GB with the current processor. Verify that your rack provides 2U height and that the 16-bay 2.5-inch SAS backplane matches your storage plan. The Matrox G200eH2 graphics output is intended for management only.

Fits standard 2U racks and frees expansion slots

Two redundant power supplies leave no single point of failure for power. The P440 controller handles the two included drives and can address additional SAS devices across the 16 front bays or an optional second 8-bay cage. Remaining PCIe slots are open for networking or accelerator cards. The single-processor configuration leaves one CPU socket and 12 DIMM slots available for future upgrades without replacing the chassis or power infrastructure.
