Check power, networking and rails before ordering

The unit includes two 500 W Flex Slot power supplies and an Intel I350/X540 network card providing two 10 GbE and two 1 GbE ports. Verify that your rack can accept the 36 x 24 x 10 inch dimensions and 40 lb weight. Rail kits are available on request but are not included by default. Ensure your environment can supply adequate cooling airflow for a 1U form factor with dual processors.

Two redundant 500 W Flex Slot power supplies share the load, keeping per-supply utilisation moderate during typical virtualisation tasks. The 1U chassis relies on high-speed internal fans to move air across both CPUs and the memory array, so fan noise will be noticeable in quiet office settings. Power draw scales with CPU utilisation and the number of installed drives, which are not included.
