This HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 system is built for organisations that need a ready-to-rack 2U platform with two Intel Xeon Silver 4216 processors running at 2.1GHz. The chassis arrives with 128GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory installed and a Smart Array P408 SAS controller fitted. It is aimed at IT teams that want a tested, firmware-current foundation for virtualisation or database workloads and prefer to choose their own storage drives.

Eight-bay 2.5-inch drive limit

The server supports up to eight 2.5-inch drive bays connected through the P408 controller, which handles SAS and SATA devices. Network connectivity is provided by an Intel I350/X540 card delivering two 10GbE and two 1GbE ports. Remote management uses HPE iLO Advanced for out-of-band control. No drives are included, so the buyer must populate the bays to activate any storage capacity.

128GB installed, 3TB maximum

With 128GB of DDR4 already fitted, the system can handle moderate virtual-machine densities and typical database working sets. The memory architecture scales to 3TB when all slots are filled, giving ample headroom for growth. Dual 500W Flex Slot power supplies provide redundancy for the configured components. Buyers who need more than eight drive bays or a different form factor will need another platform.
