The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 is a 2U rack server equipped with two Intel Xeon Silver 4210 processors running at 2.2 GHz. Each CPU provides 10 cores and 13.75 MB of cache, delivering 20 total threads for multi-threaded workloads. The system ships with 384 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory installed across the available DIMM slots. It is aimed at organisations that need a dense, dual-socket platform for virtualisation, database or general-purpose compute tasks.

Memory headroom and storage capacity

The chassis supports a maximum of 3 TB of DDR4 memory, leaving substantial headroom beyond the factory 384 GB for memory-intensive applications. Eight 2.5-inch drive bays are available, though no drives are installed in this configuration. A Smart Array P408 SAS controller manages the SATA interface for attached storage, enabling RAID levels suited to redundancy or performance. Buyers who want more storage than eight bays provide will need external enclosures or a different platform.

Interface and management limits

Network connectivity includes two 10 GbE ports and two 1 GbE ports via Intel I350 and X540 adapters, capping LAN throughput at those speeds. Remote administration is handled by HPE iLO Advanced, giving out-of-band control over power, boot media and hardware health. Graphics output relies on integrated graphics, so GPU-accelerated workloads are not supported. The server includes two 500 W Flex Slot power supplies for redundancy within the 2U form factor.
