The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 is a 2U rack server configured with two Xeon Silver 4410y processors, each providing 12 cores at 2.00 GHz with turbo up to 3.90 GHz. The system ships with 512 GB of DDR5-4800 ECC buffered memory populated as eight 64 GB modules. It targets organisations running virtualised workloads or hybrid-cloud services that require high core counts and large memory capacity in a standard rack footprint.

SAS 12Gb/s Storage Throughput

Storage is delivered by four 7.68 TB enterprise SAS SSDs operating on a 12 Gb/s interface, yielding 30.72 TB of raw capacity. The MR408i-o Gen11 storage controller provides x8 PCIe lanes and 4 GB cache to manage the array. PCIe Gen5 slots are available for additional adapters, but total bandwidth is shared with the embedded OCP3 network controller and storage controller, limiting simultaneous peak throughput across all devices.

Redundant Power And Remote Management In A 2U

The chassis includes redundant power supplies and ships with a rail kit for rack mounting; drives and memory arrive separately and require installation before deployment. An embedded four-port 1 GbE OCP3 adapter handles baseline connectivity, while iLO 6 Standard with Intelligent Provisioning enables remote firmware updates, power cycling and console access. Windows Server 2025 Standard 16-core licence is included for physical or lightly virtualised environments.
