The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 is a 2U rack server built around two Xeon Silver 4410y processors, each with twelve cores running at 2.00 GHz and a 3.90 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 512 GB of DDR5-4800 ECC buffered memory across sixteen 32 GB modules and fifteen point three six terabytes of enterprise SATA SSD storage on eight 1.92 TB drives. The platform targets organisations running virtualised workloads, databases or multiple simultaneous applications that need redundant power and remote management through iLO 6.

Verify Rack Space and Installation Resources

Confirm that your rack can accommodate a 2U form factor and that you have the required rail kit clearance for the 380 chassis. The bundle includes dual redundant power supplies, an embedded four-port 1 GbE OCP3 network adapter and an MR408i-o Gen11 storage controller with four GB cache, so ensure your power distribution and network cabling match those interfaces. All sixteen memory modules and eight 2.5-inch drives are supplied separately and must be installed before the server enters production.

Rails and iLO 6 Simplify Deployment

The included rail kit enables tool-less mounting in standard racks, reducing physical installation time. Integrated Lights-Out 6 Standard with Intelligent Provisioning provides out-of-band remote management, allowing firmware updates, hardware health monitoring and operating-system deployment without a local console. Hot-swappable power supplies let you replace a failed unit while the server remains online, maintaining availability for the virtualised and database workloads the system is designed to support.
