Dual Xeon 4410y server for virtualization

The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 is a 2U rack server built around two Xeon Silver 4410y processors, each with 12 cores at 2.00 GHz and up to 3.90 GHz turbo. It ships with 1TB of DDR5-4800 ECC buffered memory across 16 modules of 64GB. Eight 3.84TB enterprise SAS 12Gb/s SSDs provide 30.72TB of hot-swap storage. The MR408i-o storage controller with 4GB cache manages the array. Embedded 4-port 1GbE OCP3 networking and iLO 6 remote management come standard. Dual redundant power supplies keep the system running during a module swap.

Uninstalled memory and drives require assembly

The 16 memory modules and eight 2.5-inch SSDs are packaged separately and must be installed before first boot. This lets you verify each DIMM and drive, but it adds setup time and means the server does not arrive ready to rack. The MR408i-o controller and iLO 6 firmware are present on the board, so RAID configuration and remote provisioning can begin as soon as the hardware is seated. No additional controller cards or licensing keys are included in the bundle.

Tool-less rails and hot-swap bays simplify

The included rail kit supports tool-less mounting in standard square-hole racks, and the front drive bays accept the 2.5-inch SAS SSDs without caddies. Memory slots follow the documented population order for dual-socket Xeon systems; incorrect placement will halt POST. The redundant power supplies slide in from the rear and lock with a lever, allowing replacement under load. iLO 6 provides browser-based console access for BIOS setup and firmware updates without a local monitor or keyboard.
