The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen9 fits in a standard 19-inch rack and delivers two Xeon E5-2640 v3 processors running at 2.6 GHz with eight cores each. It ships with 192 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory and a P440 SAS controller ready for up to eight 2.5-inch drives. This configuration targets virtualization hosts, database nodes and compute clusters that need dense processing in 2U.

Eight-bay SAS/SATA backplane

The chassis accepts eight 2.5-inch drives connected through the onboard P440 controller which supports SAS and SATA protocols. No drives are installed so you choose capacity and endurance to match the workload. The integrated Intel I350 and X540 adapters provide two 1 GbE and two 10 GbE ports for storage and management traffic. Maximum memory capacity reaches 3 TB across 24 DIMM slots when all processors are populated.

Slide-rail installation with iLO remote access

Mounting rails are available on request and the server slides into a standard rack without tools once rails are fitted. Dual 500 W Flex Slot power supplies connect to redundant PDUs for fault tolerance. HPE iLO Advanced gives full out-of-band control over BIOS, firmware updates and power cycling from any browser. Buyers who need pre-populated storage or GPU acceleration should add those options before deployment.
