Small-business tower server

The HPE ProLiant ML30 Gen10 Plus is a tower server built for small businesses and remote offices. It ships with a Xeon E-2314 4-core processor running at 2.8 GHz with a 4.5 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 32 GB of DDR4 3200 MHz unbuffered memory across two 16 GB modules. Storage consists of four 2 TB SATA SSDs totalling 8 TB, configured through a Smart Array VROC controller.

Sustained workload behaviour

The Xeon E-2314 maintains its 2.8 GHz base clock across four cores during extended tasks, with turbo up to 4.5 GHz available when thermal headroom allows. 32 GB of DDR4 3200 MHz memory supports multi-threaded applications and virtualisation without frequent paging. The SATA SSD array delivers consistent read and write throughput for databases and file services under continuous load. Four PCIe expansion slots and an M.2 slot remain available for adding specialised accelerators or additional networking.

Thermals noise and power

A single cabled power supply feeds all components, simplifying cable routing in the tower chassis. The embedded Broadcom BCM5720 dual-port 1 Gb Ethernet adapter adds minimal heat output. Physical security features include a padlock eye, bezel lock and Kensington slot without impacting airflow. Remote management through iLO 5 Standard operates independently of the main CPU, allowing monitoring and recovery even when the operating system is unresponsive.
