This Lenovo ThinkSystem SR250 is a 1U rack-mount server built for small to medium businesses needing reliable compute density. It ships with a single Intel Xeon E-2136 six-core processor running at 3.30 GHz with a 4.5 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 64GB of DDR4 memory and a 4TB SSD array configured as four 1TB SATA drives. A Lenovo rail kit is included for rack installation.

Suits general-purpose workloads, not GPU-heavy tasks

The server handles file, print, web and virtualisation roles where CPU threads and fast SATA storage matter. Integrated Matrox G200 graphics with 16MB memory only supports basic display output. Buyers who need GPU acceleration, additional PCIe add-in cards or redundant power supplies should look elsewhere. The single power supply and 1U height limit internal expansion compared with larger chassis.

Four 1TB SATA SSDs in a 1U chassis

Storage capacity is delivered by four 3.5-inch SATA III solid-state drives totalling 4TB, managed by an onboard controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 10 and 5.
