The LR-LINK LRES3023PF-OCP is a quad-port Gigabit Ethernet adapter built on the Intel I350AM4 controller. It fits Open Compute Project 3.0 slots and presents four RJ45 connectors, each operating at 1000 Mbps. The card targets administrators who need dense 1 GbE connectivity in compatible OCP servers or appliances.
Moving from a one- or two-port adapter to this four-port design adds immediate link aggregation and failover capacity without consuming extra slots. The upgrade is worth it when a server must serve multiple VLANs, isolated management networks or distinct tenant traffic streams over copper. It does not address workloads that require 10 GbE or 25 GbE line rates.
Each port delivers a full-duplex gigabit pipe, giving 4 Gbps aggregate throughput when all links are active. The Intel controller handles jumbo frames, VMDq and SR-IOV offloads, so virtualised hosts see consistent packet processing across cores. Headroom ends at the 1 Gbps PHY; any workload that saturates a single gigabit link will need faster media or additional cards.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
The card uses the standard Open Computer Project 3.0 form factor and fits any compliant OCP 3.0 mezzanine slot in a supported server chassis.
Install the vendor driver for Windows Server 2003 to 2022, Linux, VMware ESX or FreeBSD, then enable PXE, VMDq, SR-IOV and jumbo frames in the adapter properties for full virtualization support.
The Intel I350AM4 controller is rated for the full temperature range; plan to replace the card only if a port fails or a firmware update cannot resolve a link issue.
