The MSI Vector A16 is a 16-inch gaming laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor with 16 cores and 32 threads. It pairs that CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti laptop GPU carrying 12GB of GDDR7 video memory. The 2560 x 1600 IPS panel runs at 240 Hz and covers 100% DCI-P3 colour. It ships with 64GB of DDR5 5600MHz memory and a 2TB PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe M.2 SSD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Upgrade from older high-end mobile workstations

This configuration replaces bulkier desktop-replacement notebooks that relied on previous-generation eight-core CPUs and 8GB or 16GB VRAM GPUs. The jump is worth it when you need 16-core multi-thread throughput for compile farms or 3D rendering alongside a 12GB GDDR7 frame buffer for 1440p high-refresh gaming. Straightforward chassis access with one cable catch

The bottom panel uses standard Phillips screws; once removed the two SO-DIMM slots and two M.2 bays are exposed for future expansion. The 330-watt AC adapter connects via a proprietary barrel jack that can loosen if the laptop is moved while plugged in. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 are soldered, so wireless upgrades require a USB dongle. The 90Wh battery is held by three screws and a ribbon cable that tears if pulled at an angle.
