The MSI X470 Gaming Plus motherboard uses the AMD X470 chipset on an ATX board. It accepts AMD Ryzen desktop processors and A-Series or Athlon CPUs for socket AM4. Four DDR4 slots support up to 64 GB of memory in dual-channel mode. The highest validated memory speed is DDR4 3466 MHz via A-XMP OC MODE with Ryzen processors, while A-Series and Athlon CPUs top out at 2400 MHz.
