Orico
Turns an M.2 NVMe SSD into a 10 Gbps USB-C portable drive with an aluminum cooling vest and dual-headed cable
Size M.2 NVME SSD
Model USB 3.2 Gen2 (10Gbps)
The Orico aluminum enclosure converts a single M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD into an external USB-C drive. It supports M-key and B+M-key modules in the 2280 form factor and excludes SATA or AHCI variants. The bundle includes a dual-headed cable with both USB-C and USB-A plugs for broad host compatibility.
An all-aluminum CNC-cut shell wraps the SSD on all sides and acts as a heatsink. A supplied thermal pad fills the gap between drive and case to conduct heat toward the external fins. The USB-C port and LED indicator sit on the same edge for tidy desk routing.
The metal body and cooling vest dissipate drive heat without any moving parts, so operation stays silent. The enclosure draws power from the host USB port and supports a 10-minute smart sleep mode that spins the SSD down during inactivity. UASP and TRIM protocols are supported for sustained throughput.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
The USB 3.2 Gen2x1 interface caps theoretical throughput at 10 Gbps, with lab-measured reads up to 1200 MB/s using a Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD.
The enclosure fits single-sided M.2 2280 NVMe drives with M-key or B+M-key; it does not accept SATA or PCIe AHCI modules.
Slide the NVMe SSD into the slot, press the thermal pad onto the controller, snap the aluminium cooling vest over the drive, then fasten the retaining screw — skipping the pad leaves the controller uncoupled from the heatsink.
