16GB DDR4-2666 ECC UDIMM module upgrades QNAP TS-883XU-RP, TS-983XU, TS-983XU-RP and TS-1886XU-RP NAS systems
This 16GB DDR4 2666 CL19 ECC UDIMM is built for QNAP TS-883XU-RP, TS-983XU, TS-983XU-RP and TS-1886XU-RP systems. It replaces QNAP part numbers RAM-16GDR4ECT0-UD-2666 and RAM-16GDR4ECP0-UD-2666 with a single 2Rx8 module that installs without tools.
The module runs at 1.2V and has no heat spreader, relying on the chassis airflow of the target NAS units. JEDEC-standard DDR4 operation keeps power draw low and acoustic impact negligible inside a rackmount enclosure.
The 288-pin unbuffered DIMM fits the native memory slots of the listed QNAP models and is backward compatible with 2133MHz and 2400MHz bus speeds. ECC protection preserves data integrity for ZFS volumes and virtualization workloads. Not suited for non-ECC consumer boards or systems requiring registered DIMMs.

Other versions of this model
Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
Power off the NAS, remove the chassis cover, align the notch on the 288-pin module with the slot key, press firmly until both retention clips click — the step people miss is verifying the clips are fully locked before reassembly.
No scheduled maintenance is required; if a memory error appears in QNAP logs, replace the individual 16GB stick — the module itself has no serviceable parts or wear items.
The CL19 latency at DDR4 2666 is the first bottleneck during heavy multi-user file serving or virtualization, before bandwidth or voltage headroom becomes a factor.
