32GB DDR4 2400MHz ECC Registered RDIMM

This 32GB DDR4 module runs at 2400MHz with CL17 latency and 1.2V operation. It uses a 288-pin registered RDIMM form factor with 2Rx4 organisation and ECC error correction. The module is built to JEDEC standard and matches the Micron MTA36ASF4G72PZ-2G3 specification. It targets servers, workstations and NAS systems that require registered ECC memory. It will not work in standard desktop computers or alongside unbuffered modules.

Capacity and headroom

A single 32GB stick provides substantial capacity for memory-intensive server workloads such as virtualisation, database caching or large file buffering. The 2400MHz speed and CL17 timing deliver steady throughput for typical enterprise tasks. Headroom diminishes when applications demand higher bandwidth or lower latency than the DDR4-2400 specification can supply. Systems needing greater density per slot or faster data rates will outgrow this module.

Build integration

The registered design places a buffer on the command bus, so the memory controller must support registered DIMMs. Mixing with unbuffered memory is not supported and will prevent boot. The 288-pin DDR4 interface fits standard server DIMM sockets; no heat spreader is fitted, allowing tight spacing in dense chassis. Using this module frees budget compared to OEM-branded equivalents while maintaining full JEDEC compliance.
