32 GB DDR4 ECC registered RDIMM running at 2666 MHz CL19 for Lenovo ThinkSystem Xeon SP Gen 1 servers
This 32 GB DDR4 ECC registered DIMM runs at 2666 MHz with CL19 latency and 1.2 V operation. It is built for Lenovo ThinkSystem servers using Xeon SP Gen 1 processors, including the SD530, SD650, SN550, SN850 and SR530 models. The module uses a 2Rx4 organisation and replaces Lenovo part numbers 4X70P98203 and 7X77A01304. It will not work in standard desktop computers.
Operating at the standard DDR4 voltage of 1.2 V keeps power draw low in dense server chassis. The module has no heat spreader, relying on the system’s directed airflow for cooling. Registered buffering reduces electrical load on the memory controller, which helps maintain signal integrity at full population. Noise remains unchanged because the DIMM adds no moving parts.
This memory is registered ECC DDR4 and cannot be mixed with unbuffered modules. Buyers who need unbuffered or non-ECC memory for a workstation or consumer board cannot use this part. It is also incompatible with any system that does not support registered DIMMs or the DDR4 2666 JEDEC standard. Backward compatibility with 2133 MHz and 2400 MHz platforms is supported.

Other versions of this model
Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
Power down the server, open the chassis, align the notch on the 288pin DDR4 module with the slot key, press firmly until the ejector tabs click, then enable ECC in the BIOS so the registered memory initialises correctly.
No routine maintenance is required; the module has no heat spreader and runs at 1.2V, so replacement is only needed if a memory test reports correctable errors rising or a DIMM fails POST.
The registered buffer adds one cycle of latency, so sustained bandwidth tops out at the PC4-21300 rating and the CL19 timing becomes the bottleneck before thermal limits are reached.
