This 64GB dual-channel kit contains two 32GB DDR4 ECC registered RDIMMs designed for servers, workstations and NAS systems. Registered buffering and on-die ECC protect data integrity in multi-socket and mission-critical environments. It is not compatible with standard desktop platforms or unbuffered memory configurations.
The registered RDIMM design places a register between the DRAM and the memory controller, reducing electrical load and enabling larger memory populations per channel. Combined with ECC, this single feature determines whether the module will function in a qualified server or workstation platform.
The kit delivers 64GB of addressable memory running at PC4-23400 2933MHz CL21 and will down-clock to 2133MHz, 2400MHz or 2666MHz to match slower bus speeds. Voltage is 1.2V. Systems requiring more than 64GB per channel or unregistered DIMMs cannot use this kit.
