Adds 8 GB of DDR4-3200 CL22 memory to Dell OptiPlex 3000, 5000 and 5080 desktops
This 8 GB DDR4 module is built for Dell OptiPlex 3000 SFF, 3000 Tower, 5000 SFF, 5000 Tower and 5080 SFF systems. It installs in a standard 288-pin UDIMM slot and runs at 1.2 V without ECC or buffering. The unbuffered design keeps installation straightforward for a DIY memory upgrade.
The module operates at 3200 MHz with CL22 latency and is backward compatible with 2133 MHz, 2400 MHz, 2666 MHz and 2933 MHz buses. It upgrades systems running at those lower speeds or adds capacity when free DIMM slots are available. The jump is worthwhile when the platform supports 3200 MHz and the workload benefits from the higher data rate.
The memory uses the DDR4 UDIMM standard, so it fits only 288-pin unbuffered non-ECC slots at 1.2 V. It cannot be used in systems that require registered, load-reduced or ECC modules, nor in boards wired for other DDR generations. Maximum speed is capped by the memory controller and the slowest installed module.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
Yes, it is built for the OptiPlex 3000 SFF, 3000 Tower, 5000 SFF, 5000 Tower and 5080 SFF. The 288-pin DDR4 form factor matches the desktop DIMM slots in those models.
Not seating the module until both retention clips click. Press down firmly on each end until the clips snap into the notches on the 288-pin edge connector.
It runs at 3200 MHz CL22 and is backward compatible with 2133, 2400, 2666 and 2933 MHz. Mixing speeds works, but all modules will run at the slowest installed speed.
