The Solidigm D3-S4620 is a 480GB 2.5-inch SATA solid-state drive built for data-centre and server deployments. It uses 144L TLC 3D NAND to deliver sequential reads up to 550 MBps and writes up to 500 MBps. The drive operates from 0°C to 70°C and withstands 1,000 G shock at 0.5 msec.
This mid-endurance drive targets read-intensive applications such as boot, web serving and content delivery where it boosts IOPS per terabyte over legacy hard disks. It is not suited for write-heavy caching tiers or high-endurance database logging that demand greater write cycles.
The single specification that determines fit is the SATA III 6Gb/s interface; the drive slots into any 2.5-inch bay wired for SATA. Systems requiring PCIe or other interfaces cannot use this unit.

Other versions of this model
Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
Choose the 480 GB model for boot drives or light read workloads; step up to larger capacities when you need more space for mixed read/write data sets.
They are peak sequential speeds measured under ideal conditions; real-world mixed workloads will run lower depending on queue depth and controller overhead.
The 6 Gb/s link caps combined throughput near the drive's rated 550 MBps read and 500 MBps write, so the bus sets the ceiling for sustained transfers.
