Struck-through versions exist but are not stocked here.
The ST1000SPEX2 installs in a PCI Express x1 slot and provides a single 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 port. It is a low-profile design that fits compact servers, workstations or desktop PCs. A second bracket is included for full-height chassis. The card is new and ready for immediate deployment.
Throughput is capped by the single-lane PCI Express connection and the IEEE 802.3ab Gigabit Ethernet standard. The bus will not deliver multi-gigabit rates, so aggregated workloads above one gigabit per second will saturate the link. Jumbo frames and full-duplex flow control help efficiency but cannot exceed the physical ceiling.
The card adds exactly one Ethernet connection. Systems that require dual or quad ports for teaming, failover or separate networks need a different adapter. If a single Gigabit drop satisfies the design, this part fits; otherwise it does not.

Same family, different memory, cooler or clock — compare before you commit.
The card ships with both a standard and a low-profile bracket, so you can fit it into either a full-height or a slim chassis without extra parts.
The PCIe x1 interface provides ample bandwidth for full line-rate gigabit traffic, so sustained transfers will sit near the 1000Mbps ceiling in typical desktop or server workloads.
It complies with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3x and 802.3ab, enabling 10, 100 and 1000Mbps operation, full-duplex flow control and jumbo frames on the RJ45 link.
