The Ubiquiti UVC-G5-FLEX delivers 2K (4MP) video at 30 FPS through a 5MP CMOS sensor. Power and data run over a single 10/100 MbE RJ45 PoE connection, so no separate power supply is needed. The fixed-focal lens provides a 102.4° horizontal by 54.9° vertical field of view with 5× optical zoom. Integrated microphone and 6 m IR night vision extend its utility to low-light scenes.

Wired 10/100 Ethernet limits bandwidth and reach

The sole network interface is a 10/100 MbE port, capping throughput well below gigabit speeds and restricting cable runs to the standard 100 m PoE distance. No Wi-Fi or wireless standard is supported despite a networking-protocol field listing Wi-Fi, so the camera must be hard-wired. Micro SD storage is absent, meaning all footage must stream to an NVR or cloud recorder. Operating temperature spans -20 to 40 °C and humidity 0–90 % non-condensing, suitable for sheltered exterior mounting.

Simple PoE install; watch for cabling

Mount the Ø48 × 107.5 mm body on a table or ceiling using the included hardware, then plug the RJ45 cable into a PoE switch or injector — no separate power adapter required. The 170 g weight eases overhead placement. Common issues: forgetting that the 10/100 link cannot saturate gigabit uplinks, omitting a recorder because no local card slot exists, and exceeding the 100 m cable limit on long outdoor runs.
