It is aimed at system builders and technicians who need to add or swap multiple drives without opening the chassis. Hot-swap trays allow each drive to be inserted or removed while the system is running.

Practical limits of SATA and SAS

The SATA and SAS interfaces used here top out at 6 Gbps, so drive throughput cannot exceed that ceiling regardless of the SSD installed.
