Dual-Bay SATA RAID Enclosure

This Acasis enclosure holds two 2.5-inch SATA hard drives or SSDs and connects through a USB-C port. It is built for users who want a portable RAID array without installing drives inside a computer case. The aluminium housing helps dissipate heat during sustained transfers. Four selectable RAID modes let you choose between performance, redundancy or combined capacity.

Four RAID Modes Switchable by Hardware

A physical switch on the enclosure selects RAID 0, RAID 1, JBOD or single-disk mode without software configuration. Each bay accepts drives up to 6 TB for a total of 12 TB. The internal SATA interface is limited to 2.5-inch drives between 7 mm and 9.5 mm thick. USB 3.0 provides up to 5 Gbps bandwidth, and UASP support reduces protocol overhead.

Driver-Free Setup with Automatic Sleep

Windows, macOS and Linux recognise the device immediately with no drivers required. An auxiliary DC power input ensures both drives spin up reliably. After ten minutes of inactivity the enclosure enters hibernation to extend drive life and save power. The only common issue is forgetting to set the RAID switch before inserting drives, which requires a reboot to take effect.
