Target hardware and fit

This hinged steel shelf holds the listed HP Mini Desktop models — 260, ProDesk 400, 405, 600, EliteDesk 705, 800, 805 and Elite Mini 800 G9 — inside a standard 19-inch rack. It occupies exactly 1U of height and 6.53 inches of depth, so the mounted mini PC sits flush with the cabinet rails. Builders who need a second mini PC in the same rack unit or who use non-HP chassis cannot use this bracket.

Rack standard limits

The unit conforms to the 19-inch EIA rack width and 1.75-inch vertical pitch, leaving no extra clearance for cable guides or deeper power bricks. Airflow depends on the open-top design; cabinets with solid doors or restricted front-to-rear flow will reduce cooling. Installers who require forced-air ducting or a sealed shelf must look elsewhere.

Build and daily use

Powder-coated steel construction resists flex when the rack is moved, and the dual-hinged sides swing open independently so technicians can reach rear ports without removing the whole shelf. Two included zip ties anchor the external power supply to the bracket, preventing cable strain during vibration. The shelf has no top panel, so dust can settle on the mini PC if the rack sits in an unfiltered environment.
