The Dell OptiPlex 7040 all-in-one combines a 22-inch full-HD monitor and a small-form-factor chassis on a single stand. A 6th-generation Intel Core i7-6700 quad-core processor running at 3.4 GHz with 8 MB cache and 65 W TDP drives the system. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR3L memory and a dual-drive arrangement — 512 GB M.2 SSD plus 1 TB SSD — provide the operating system and data storage. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed.

Included peripherals and connectivity

A USB keyboard and USB mouse ship in the box so the unit works immediately. Wireless connectivity comes from a USB dongle capable of 5 GHz operation. The chassis front offers a 9.5 mm DVD-ROM drive, an SD media card reader and a universal audio jack.
