Rail-mounted chassis with hot-swap power

The server arrives with ready rails and a front bezel for standard rack installation. Both 1400W power supplies are hot-swappable, so a failed unit can be replaced without shutting down the system. Drive bays support hot-swap 2.5-inch SATA drives, allowing storage changes while the server runs. Memory population follows Dell-validated configurations; mixing unsupported module speeds or capacities can prevent the system from posting.

24-bay 2.5-inch SATA drive capacity

The chassis provides 24 front-accessible 2.5-inch bays, all populated with 1.92TB SATA SSDs in this build. The PERC H755 controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60, so the single specification that determines fit is whether the workload requires this exact bay count and SATA interface. Buyers needing 3.5-inch drives, NVMe-only bays or more than 24 devices should look elsewhere.
