1U rack server with single Xeon

The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 is a 1U rackmount server system fitted with one Intel Xeon E5-2620 v3 six-core processor running at 2.4 GHz. It comes with 192 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory installed across 24 DIMM slots and includes two hot-swap 500 W redundant power supplies. The chassis provides eight 2.5-inch SFF drive bays and uses the B140i software RAID controller.

B140i software RAID is SATA only

The installed B140i controller provides RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 for SATA drives. It does not support SAS devices, so builders needing hardware RAID or SAS connectivity should choose a different server. The single processor configuration leaves one CPU socket free for a future upgrade.

Memory ceiling fixed at 192 GB

Although the platform can scale higher with two processors, this unit’s maximum memory capacity is 192 GB with the single installed CPU. Buyers whose workloads demand more RAM than 192 GB must look at dual-processor configurations or a different model.
